GCS 9, C43 enmr Glas Ill Johnston: Gary Stoner Liz Peterson Carole Cox kg, Dot Clover Bev Schuessler Jack Stuck u:i3 Pat Ansley Kenneth Madison Dick Orr 2f'1'-7 YXY, Jeanine Rock Marilyn Christenson Mark Jarvis 47 Harold Longshore S 3 , 5 Lu Anne McKinle y The time was 1942, the place was Johnston School? when thirteen youngsters came on the run, laughlng and having lots of fun, at Herrold Schoo1,up northa ways, four more were starting their ga learning days, Mrs Youngquist was our teacher, and we tried so hardlo to please her, we took our naps and strung our beads, our black face play was fine in dequ,1our rhythm band was 'really cool , yes slr' we really liked our sc oo ' First Grade Caroleand Gary moved away, but we'llsee them again some day, still had our jazzy rhythm band, the hottest one in all the land, we still rested every day, no fun being quiet we wanted to play, our teacher Miss Taylor, changed her name, Mrs La Follette she became Second Grade Hurray' Hurray' no naps to take' we were glad of this and no mis take, Janet and Lucille, joined our crew, Mike Howley decided to come then too, Mary Wigton caught up with us, and we caught up with Fred, Gary Stoner then returned, and we slowly moved ahead, We learned row to paint, gave a show about trains, with Mrs Wilson as pitcher, we played baseball games Third Grade Mike Horton and DeWayne Still came our class has never been the same, JoAnne came, but didr't stay long, she moved to Herrold and time marched on, Lr Sibley, one fine day made us corn meal the Indian way lourth Grade Jord Smith JO1HGd our mer y band, Miss Orcutt took our group in hand, if we had trouble with geograply, we missed our recess bu Def inately' Fifth Grade Don J o ard r'n ard came in here, the girls really liked that arg frlr , rs Ea ez cu teache rrw, refdyand w l ir to: w I x C o ' u .
