“At last we had graduated to the top floor. We had as our teachers, Mrs. Dowling and Mrs. Ballou. This was our first year selling magazines, and we lost to the Eighth grade. So Valentines Day we treated them to a party. During the year Mrs. Dowling fell and broke her leg, so we did all we could to help her. Having completed Seventh grade, we entered Eighth and had Mrs. McCall and Mrs. Ballou for our teachers. Tom Naylor and Bill Thornburg joined us. We won thenmgazine contest this year, and Dixie Clover was high salesman. She won a certificate for selling 886 in magazines. Darrell Seibert was a close second.
