FORE ORD In producing the 1959 edition of the Hawk, we, the senior class, had this thought in mind, The first social obligation of any man is his own education. We have two educations, one from the teachers, the other we give ourselves. Education is not the mere possession of knowl- edge, but the ability to reflect upon it and grow in wisdom. Whoever would face the light of wisdom must turn his back on the crowd and its shadows. We are beginning to form our own judgments and to judge is to weighg to consider - to questiong to seek evidence - to doubt. As the school year passes, we pause to catch a final glimpse of everything we have done, Our classmates, our friends, our teachers have all played a part in this, our senior year, We have attempted to preserve the memories through word and picture.
