CLASS HI TORY ln September. . . 1955 we entered the high school with one hundred-fifty-two freshmen. We soon overcame our fear of the upperclassmen and the hazing that was received from them disappeared. Our advisors were Miss Blair, Mr. T. I. Dublin, Mr. Q. K. Wall, and Mr. R. Ennis. We followed the leadership of Glenda Clarke, President, and Ruth Vinson, Secretary. Our class was well represented in most of the activities, band, basketball, student coun- cil, and honor society. This year was our most enjoyable. We shall always cherish this year because of the glorious event that gave us more poise and confidence The Freshman Bal1. The year flew by in a mass of happiness and activity, we said. Goodbye to our' freshman year. In the year of 1956. we were no longer, First Class Freshmen, we had entered into that wonderful year in which we were supposed to walk the path of Sophomore's, and it was a wonder- ful feeling indeed. We lost one of our advisors, Mr. Ennis, and gained a new one, Mrs. A. M. Forte, who along with Miss Blair, Mr. Wall, and Mr. Dublin helped to make our Sophomore year a success- ful one, Our President, Glenda Clarke, Vice President, James Eldridge, Secretary, Mildred Watson and again our class was represented in many activities carried on by the faculty and members of the student body. Months rolled by very rapidly and we were becoming more and accustomed to the ways and habits of a High School student. When the moment came, and we realized that it was time for our vacation, and also time to start preparing ourselves for the exciting year coming up, our Junior Year, We can truly say, we will never forget the happy moments of our sophomore year, and the many events that took place, but as we all know, time waits for no-one. We entered our Junior year with eager anticipation. Our class officers were Willard Smith, President, Glenda Clarke, Vice Presidentg Margie Cole, Secretaryg Lois Diggs, Assistant Secretary. With the aid of our sponsors, Miss L. M. Blair, Mr. Q. K. Wall, and Mr. R. Ennis we were determined to make the best year ever, Members of the class participated wholeheartedly in all clubs and activities. Glenda Clarke reigned as Miss J.C.T.S. Christmas Queen. Soon the time came that we were all waiting for. The Prom, April 25. 1958. The gymnasium was beautifully decorated with our theme April Showers, in mind. Music was rendered by The Swinging Shepherds. After the school term was out everyone was rejoicing and waiting for their Senior year to come. Everyone worked hard the summer of '58 thinking about the different things that they wanted and would like to have in order to help their parents for their senior year. September finally came and everyone was happy to be dignified seniors. Everyone returned meeting, and greeting their old friends. We had many class meetings to weigh such things as class rings, mottos, our class officers, and most of all invitations. We enrolled about 89 seniors.
