K-I ,JOHNSTON cc 'Nw HERITAGE CENTER ' sr THFIELD, N.C, Foreword The Senior Class of '26 has in mind to go forward. It believes in progress. So greatlis this inclination toward progress that it has decided to publish an annual with the help of the Principal, Professor A. J. Taylor. This is the first annual to be published since the Johnston County Training School has been in existence and it is our desire that the class of '27 will hold up the banner and let the annual become better year by year. As a class, we have tried to exhibit to others the character, culture. and tastes of our class members, and we hope it will cause cooperation to exist between faculty, students, parents, alumni and friends. Further, we have tried to cooperate with our teachers and schoolmates, because co-operation leads to success, and it is the desire of the class of '26 to be successful in every movement of importance. The ideal of Johnston County Training School is to develop men and women who are calm, self-controlled, self-directed, and who get their greatest pleasure from the finer and higher things of life. The ideal of the Senior Class is to be men and women of the highest rank, and in all undertakings striving to be preeminent. , L. H. M. Editor. Qi THE JOHNSENIOR 1926 to ANDREW Joi-rNsoN T.n'LoR Principal of Johnston County Training School Who has begun this work with loving interest, we do dedicate this our first annual f W Inf: JoHNsEN1oR on 1926 Y Ea .
