Music Activities The music activities through this year of school are something each student looks forward to whether he has a large or small part. Under the capable direction of Mrs. D'Wight Peirson the music schedule was as follows: On December 22, the grade school gave an operetta entitled Han- sel and Gretel. During basketball season the St. Paris High School Band performed at home games , giving the spectators a chance to see how much the band has improved. Several new band members were active in the band shows. On May 9th the band gave a program reviewing the band shows they did during the year and also some new music. St. Paris was also fortunate in contest work this year. Students participated in the Jr. Hi Contest at Covington on February 26, and also the High School Solo and Ensemble Contest at Urbana on March 5th. On March 22 a group from Boys Chorus, Girls Chorus, and Mixed Chorus was chosen to represent our school in the County Music Festival. The Spring Musical program on May 20th concludes the music pro- gram for the year. Numerous other performances by school music groups have been given at Chapel Services, P. T. A., and at Community Club meetings.
