L MEMORI L EJCONCERT The Johnson Park Orchestra and Dance Band started off the year with a very ex- cellent variety show, A Parade of Stars. The Dance Band, which meets after school one session per week, followed through with performances at noon sock hops and the Spring Concert. The Senior Band played for our first recognition assembly of the year, as well as the Elementary Festival and the Spring Concert. The highlight of the musical year was the performance of the John Phillip Sousa Memorial Concert in which Inter- mediate and Senior Bands, joined by the Orchestra, gave a stellar performance in tribute to the famous American band- master. Proceeds from the concert helped endow a Sousa Band Shell in The John F. Kennedy Performing Arts Center in Washington, D. C. .hnuor Band A Dance Band
