Every night after school 27 girls, 2 coaches and 1 student manager would gather in the gym for another night of exciting’' practice; those practices paid off in the end. Under the coaching of Sheri Ballentine and Jim Rynearson, the Varsity Volleyball team fought their way to the District finals and a chance to play at State. The gills played a tough game against Friend, but were defeated in three sets. Tears were shed but they were all proud of what they had accomplished throughout the season. The lady Eagles finished with a winning record. The Reserve team had an excellent season with an undefeated record and much talent was displayed on the Freshman team. Playing their last year were Seniors, Shari Bohling, Connie Thies, Katie Casey, Dixie Gottula, Debbie Gerdes and Kathy Riggins.
