SPEECH 1983 Speech Team Ariii Carpers - Stale Qualifier State Qualifying OID The speech team got off to a good start this year by placing second out of twenty schools at the Nebraska City Speech Invitational. At districts, three individuals and the OID team qualified for state. Sandy Grotrian competed in after dinner speaking and placed fourth at Kearney. Machaela Antholz qualified in original public address while Arlis Caspers went to state in informative. OID, consisting of Arlis Caspers. Brian Clark. Paul Connolly. This year s Jr.-Sr. Banquet and Prom was held in the Legion Building. The theme was Only Time Will Tell , and the colors were purple and lavendar. Each year Prom seems to be more special, but this, being the last Prom for the Seniors of '83. seemed to be even more special. The decorations were stars and moonlight scenes. The Juniors worked hard and the Seniors really appreciated it. It was an occasion we will all long remember. A real cool dude. Get down and boogie. Sandy reading prophesies. PROM »
