That is the saying that rang out during the Volleyball season. This year there were 36 dedicated players and 4 hard working student managers. Coached by Carole Obermeyer and Meg Bretz, all 3 teams, Freshman, Reserve and Varsity had successful seasons! The Varsity ended with a 10 win 7 loss season. Dedication . . . Retiring Senior Foothill PUyen: Mitt Oestminn, Scott Gilbert, Tim Alberts, Tim Cobber. Footbill teim in iction. This year it look something special to be part of the football squad. It took the usual hard work, hard hits, hot, long prac- tices, running in extreme heat or cold, with and without pads on. But this year it also took a lot of spirit, pride, and a special kind of dedication. This special kind of dedication was present all year long. The men on our football team ended up with a 0-8 record but still they played every game with energy, hard work, spirit and most important, pride in them- selves, the football program and the Johnson-Brock school. In August, 1981, eighteen men will- ing to have this special effort and dedication came out for football. Coached by Sam Smith and assisted by Steve Senff, the 1981-82 football squad had some disappointments yet they had some good recognition. Tim Alberts was honored with honor- able mention and other awards by papers, and Tim Cobber was presented with an All-Conference Team honor plus many additional awards from local papers. Many people will remember the record of this team but many will remember the dedication, pride and hard work displayed by the football team.
