Kevin Swanson and Jeff Broady take their afternoon naps Mark Nelson. Kevin Simmons, and Mike Gilbert come to school because they enjoy being with their friends What should a person be involved in at school? Should he do his lessons and go home? Should he participate in every activity he can possibly cram into his crowded schedule? School can be whatever he wants it to be Some go to school to prepare themselves for their future lives, some for the fun of now. and some because they haven't any choice Some go to school primarily to develop their mental ability, some for their physical ability, and some for their artistic ability. People attend school as members of the crowd or as loners Some try to do their best — and others try to get the best out of others. Some sharpen their own competitive powers and some learn to support other peo- ple. School can be the focal point of a life, or it can be something that drags on, taking a big chunk out of the day, when there are better things to do It all depends on the outlook, the window it is seen through. It helps if the outlook is favorable since most people have to go to school, and most for thirteen years — which can be an awfully long time to be miserable, because you hate school.
