Theme: A New Beginning I thought this theme would be very appropriate for this year ' s yearbook. We, the students of Johnson C. Smith University are experiencing a year that we will long remember. Our president, Dr. Robert Albright, has initiated new changes and ideas that are needed. However, these changes should not be administered too drastically. There are students that will not return because of their inability to adapt to the drastic changes. Therefore, they will encounter A New Beginning . There are faculty members that will be repositioned because their methods of teaching no longer meet the necessary standards to help produce competent effective leaders. Therefore, they will encounter A New Beginning . There are staff members that will be replaced because they have grown a little old and frail and now they are no longer capable of producing a full day ' s work. Therefore, they will encounter A New Beginning . In addition to this, each of us read the English literature, multiplied the mathematical equations and experimented with the scientific chemicals.
