STEPPING INTO TOMORROW i9i Every University leaves a lasting impression on the students who call it home for four years. Academically, Emotionally, Professionally, and Personally, the school a person goes to has a definite influence on his or her life. Each University has a personality of its own. That per- sonality is reflected in the personalities of its students, faculty, ad- ministrators, alumni, and trustees. For the Class of 79 , Johnson C. Smith University has been a positive contributor in helping them become the proud men and women that they are today. With the learnings that they have received, they stand prepared today, for that glorious step into tomorrow ! Their main objective is to strive forward to radiate the uni- versal awareness, characteristic of our University. The sky is indeed the limit! Johnson C. Smith our own . . , for we are the true reflections of this beautiful University. The Bull has lived through fifty years of recording memories (except for a break between 1936 and 1946). Stepping Into Tomorrow marks the beginning of a new era. With this new beginning, we see a massive flow of positive attitudes, creating progressive ideas. We see the mental collaboration between students, faculty members, and administrators, that constitute a University. So step with us, as we get into the beautiful unfoldment of the 1978- 79 school year, at Johnson C. Smith University. Perhaps we can relate to the linguistics of Mr. George Clinton (recording artist), in saying: To each his or her reach ... and if we don ' t cop its not ours to have . . . but we ' ll be reaching for you . . . because WE LOVE YOU — J.C.
