i 1 Ur. Rutus P. Perry President. Johnson C. Smith University 1957-1968 Dr. R. P. Perry has served the University as chief administrator for eleven fruitful years. Johnson C. Smith has grown in many phases due to the efforts of this dedicat- ed man. Dr. Perry retired from the Office of President on December 31, 1968 and returned to his chemistry laboratory in the new Science Center. The BULL wishes to give special recognition to the man that has given Johnson C. Smith University an energetic start into its second century of service to the cause of higher education.
