HineteeH hundred and fifty-nine annual publication of Zke Senior Class JOHNSON C. SMITH UNIVERSITY Charlotte, North Carolina foreword The period in which we live and of our gradu- ation from college offers a privilege for service to any person who is well prepared. May we think of the years spent at Johnson C. Smith as the initial period in this preparation for the op- portunities that lies before us. Through our continued sacrifices and with a determined effort to achieve perfection in our selected vocations, we may help our community to find a solution to many of its perplexing problems. Now the time has come for us to part. As we leave these portals of Johnson C. Smith, we leave behind the cherished memories that have endeared us to our Alma Mater As we move on to blaze new trails, may we stop and cherish those memories once again through the activities and organizations that helped us to establish them. This yearbook we offer to the 1959 graduat- ing class of Johnson C. Smith. Many years from now we may want to relive those days spent ot Our Dear Alma Mater.
