As a record, this book will carry valuable information which you wil turn to many times during the years ahead. You will frequently look at names and faces and organization personnel when you are attempting to identify individuals and events. joys. The Book will be a reminder of associations, acti sorrows, and achievements. It will, through its pages, be a reminder of values that you did or did not embrace and thereby may bring to you a sense of satisfaction or regret depending upon what you did at a given time. This Year Book will also be an inspiration as you look back upon achievements of individuals and groups recorded herein and your own partici- pation. The presence of the Homecoming Queen, the football team, basketball team, choir, dramatic guild, or some other group or individual will bring back memories of inspiration i» ' hich will heighten your loyalty to Smith and your appreci for Smith i and they , I wish to congratulate the makers of this book and e-xpress the wish that their experience in producing it may be one that will give them strength, in handling larger affairs in the days that are ahead.
