FRESHITIEN Freshmen did have a lot to think about. Starting their hrst year in high school was probably rough. Tasks such as breaking the ice in making new friends and seeking special activities to pass the time away or to simply have fun, were some of their worries this year. We asked freshmen how they felt about school. They responded in a general manner. Wfhey don't treat you like kids anymore. H. . . bigger responsibilities. mln J.H. everybody wants to mess around, but at H.S. they want to work also. mln high school they don't mess around, they tell it to you like it is! 'tWe're able to do more things in high school and have a little more freedom. HlVluch more people and activities to enjoy. HAnother step on the ladder of knowledge and wisdom. 177

You know that they liked their first year in high school when they said things like: llI'm really enjoying myself and learning a lot, too. ll . . snack break is bad!!! ll . . . you can wander around a little, UAII the spirit is super. ll . . . pep assemblies and all the sports and games at North! North wasn't really what they thought it would be like though. 'tDidn't think it would be this much fun! t'The way people act, they're nice. HI was scared before Icame and I've had more fun since school started then ever before.
