Tennis For the second consecutive year, the girls' tennis team placed 3rd in the Ivy League Standings, headed by only 2 returning Varsity players from last year lAnna Segobia and Cheryl Smithi. The team ended the season with a total of 14 victories and 4 defeats. Cheryl Smith placed lst in the Ivy League Play-offs with Anna Segobia and Debbie Schanakenburg placing third. Cheryl went to the 3A C.I.F. Play-offs but lost out in the 2nd round. Coach Kouklis was quoted as saying, 'lThis was one of the best teams in-so-far as the girls getting along with each other. y ww. 2 Volleyball This year's Girls' Volleyball team made its mark with the rest of North's Ivy League Champs, posting an overall record of 16 wins, and 3 losses. Their only losses came from Palm Springs twice, and being ousted by Covina in the hrst round of the C.I.F. Play-offs. Their season started September lst with practices running 3 to 4 hours, six days a week throughout the whole season.
