Party Politics The Party employs all the principles of the big political party conventions. The adoption of the platform is important. There are speeches to nominate candidates and second their nomination. Demonstrations march around the floor. Each group on campus is allowed to send a specified number of delegates to the convention. At the end of the voting, the Party candidates for student body President and Vice-President were Tom Anderson and Montie Guthrie, respectively. The Party also voted to change its name from Progressive Party to the Progressive Student Government Party.
