Some Even Call It Home Some live here nine months of the year and some even stick it out for the full twelve. Maybe the food isn't just like Mom's and maybe you do have to do your own wash, but it still has enough atmosphere to call it home. Could be the people that makes it a place that you armfzlly miss during the Christmas break. Students will leave here exclaiming that they would 1 never set foot on this campus again. The next semester they are back. Or if they do get enough courage to transfer, then they often come back the next semester. And then some don't. Some leave to travel. Some years you get it and some years you don't. Not one flake of that white lacy stuff fell this Christmas. Well, at least Santa showed up in his, or was it laer, sexy white beard. The boys finally got to see what vast unexplored regions lay beyond the parlor doors. The choir sang. And even better the students sang. They sang carols in the parlor and when the boys left, they ,returned to serenade the pajama clad girls through the closed doors. We Wish you a Merry Christmas came the reply muffled by the glass windows. A band played for the serenaders too. The dorm girls had their own private Christmas party. The week before, the different halls had drawn names for Secret Santas. Shuffling feet could be heard at all hours of the night as Santas tried to leave little gifts of candy, poems, or toys without being discovered. One girl accidentally turned on a hall light late at night, only to discover four girls frozen, caught in the act. She flicked the light off and the Santas tiptoed on.
