Military Ball i- April Fool's Day hosted this year's Military Ball. The only Formal event of the whole year drew a large crowd. Of course the 325.00 prize offered to the club with the highest percentage of its members there also encouraged attend- ance. The E.T.E.R.N.A.S.'s treasury is now somewhat richer. CJ. and the Jewels provided music for everybody. There were waltzes for those who knew how, a little James Brown soul music and even a small dash of Country and West- ern. Hemlines Went to the floor and hairdos went fancy: The girls were even allowed a. 1:00 am. curfew.

T exczns Take Aztec Bowl Tarleton returned with a little more than just better American- Mexican relations last December. They returned sporting a sterling silver bowl, symbol of their victory over the Mexican All-Stars in Mexico City's Aztec Bowl. The Texans romped over their out- manned, but fighting opponents 42-8 before a crowd estimated at 30,000. Before the Texans could even work their way off the field following the contest, they were mobbed by hundreds-possibly thous- ands of youngsters. All-Texas tackle Randy Vlinkler was hoisted to the shoulders of some of the admirers and carried in the general direction of the dressing room. Her Little Captains included Bonnie Laudan escorted by Ashley Lovell, Peggy Ditmar 'escorted by Don Quy, Susan Vfay escorted by John Yearwood, and Carolyn Price escorted by Atwood Cherry. Though some found the formal attire cumbersome, it still did not dampen their spirits as several of the hardier souls later demonstrated the alligator, Most of the danc- ing remained rather sedate, however.
