The nominees included Mickie Roberson, Carlton seniorg Susan Stipic, Dallas juniorg Queen Sandra Watson, Strawn sophomoreg Sandy Dennis, Brownwood juniorg and Pat Robertson, a sophomore from Abilene. X lv - if .wg Xl l , 1 1' ' -fir' ' vl'r ,l ' H Poo members carried torches to light the way for the Snake Dancers. Head Cheerleader john Yearwood lights the traditional bonfire.

I il . I l 5 r El Homecoming activities began at TSC on Thursday evening with the traditional Fish Day. Freshmen participated in such recreations as supper-on-the-floor and other after dinner games. The annual drum-beating ceremony was begun by President Trogdon at 6:30, and continued to resound until the kick-off against Angelo State the following Saturday afternoon. Friday night was filled by a Snake Dance out to the parking lot for a bonfire and pep rally. Governor john Connally was scheduled as featured speaker for a dinner honoring Houston businessman, Gus S. VVortham, as Tarle- tonfs outstanding ex-student. The Theme for the Home- coming Parade was Golden Anniversary. Other honored guests for the activities included the members of the 1950 Tarleton Plowboy football team. Two dances were scheduled for the after game entertainment. The Tophatters provided music in the Tarleton Center ballroom for the a1umni. Meanwhile the Cave was swinging with Bruce Channel and his band. rriii eee rrri f iiill i1'e Hey, Hey, Ho, Ho!
