TEXAS OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT Greetings to the Senior Class: Fifty years isha relatively short period of timei as we measure the history of educational institutions. The significant fact is that you are the graduating class of Tarleton College in this, her 50th year. I feel a deep gratitude to this Class of '49 for its earnest co-operation and its efforts to fulfill the responsibility as Seniors of this institution. You have been faithful and sincere. Class spirit and loyalty have been stronger. It is this spirit of loyalty and your love for the school that have made for its growth and greatness. Mrs. Howell is a gracious hostess tor all receptions and entertainments held at the Presiclent's home. The 'freshmen are honored at a reception on the Presi- dent's lawn each tall and Mrs. Howell is hostess to the graduating class at a tea each spring. President and Mrs. Howell have two children, Nancy and Jimmy.
