Newest of courses of- fered at Tarleton is Rero- nautics, sponsored by the United States Government, which was introduced in January of nineteen-forty. Over one hundred Tarle- ton students have success- fully completed their train- ing and received their Pri- vate Pilot's license. Elements of meteorology, navigation, and the theory of flight are studied in the theory course accompany- ing the flying instruction. HGround school is con- ducted by Chief Instructor Burrel Tibbs, who has an assistant and four planes at his disposal for the flying instruction.
