Locke, Wilbum Shelton, Avon Waddle, Alvin Mays, and Charles Beasley, won third place in the General Livestock Iudginq Contest for Junior Agricultural Colleges and Teachers C017 leges held at Fort Worth on March 13. The team placings were: 1. Connors State Agricultural College, Warner, Oklahoma 2, Cameron State Agricultural College, Lawton, Oklahoma. 3. Iohn Tarleton Agricultural College. 4 North Texas Agricultural College Arlington, Texas. 5. Sul Ross Teachers College, Alpine, Texas 6 Murray Stctte Agricultural College, Tishominqo, Oklahoma. 7. Illinois State Normal, Normal, Illinois 8 Stephen F. Austin Teachers Col, lege, Nucogdoches, Texas. The John Tarleton team was high in two of the tour divisions of the contest Hogs, with a score of 9715961 and Dairy Cattle, with or score of 94h. L. C, Locke and Avon Waddle tied for high individual in hogs with perfect scores in placing and reasons the first time two men on the same team have ever made perfect scores in the contest, Avon Waddle was high individual in judging dairy cattle with ct score of 9890 in placing and reasons. L. C Locke was fourth hiqh individual in the entire contest. Wilbum Shelton won the Directors Trophy for making the highest score in the Tarleton animal husbandry students judging contest held Cit the College Farm in January. Page Eighteen
