DEBATING CLUB Extemperaneous speaking trains members of the Debating Club for their roles as future leaders. Clear thinking, good listening, and careful researching exemplifies the qualities of these up-and coming orators. Competition met with success. Last year’s negative team (Mike Padrick and Keith Hales) place first in the N. C. High School Debating Union District Tournament. They placed fifth in the state tournament.
