KICK - OFF! Well, it must be said that the Hoggard football team improved. By two games. Did you hear? We won TWO WHOLE GAMES this year! Optimism is the key word, though. If Hoggard continues improving at the rate of two games a year, the Vikings should have a perfect season by 1975. Perhaps the minimal improvement of this football season over the last was due to the shortage of aspiring athletes at pre-season camp. Perhaps it was a psychological inhibition of the players due to various factors concerning Hoggard’s 1969-1970 football record. Maybe it was just plain bad luck. All three reasons, though you may not understand the second, are probably correct. The football players could list more, it you cared to ask. But remember, Hoggard did not have a bad season because of a poor team. We have the best team in the state! . .
