Hoggatd Rifles The Hoggard Rifles, under the direction of the instructors, Sergeant R. Wilson and Cadet Commander L. E. Simpson, has sacrificed long hours to become a precisioned unit. As always, practice has worked and the team received invitations to perform at various festivals and parades throughout southeastern N. C. The drill team itself, is perhaps the most honored unit in the battalion, and members are chosen through tryouts at the beginning of each school year. Drill Team Commander: Lieutenant L. E. Sword Team Sponsor: Lieutenant Myra Mull Swoed Teant The sword team of the NJROTC battalion iS for special performances and functions. It performs at various activities such as beauty pageants and the NJROTC Ball. The team is made up entirely of ensigns with the exception of the commander, LTJG T. Farmer. Sword Team CMD: LTJG T.
