Mr. Gurganus discusses the plans of the day with some of the teachers. Miss Katherine Wicker, assistant principal, pauses in her work to think of the unfolding plans of John T. Hoggard. 124 Mrs. Nancy Marks, guidance counselor, goes over a college catalog with Julie Boatwright. Few things are reserved exclusively for the administration besides work. All the problems of running the school were placed in their hands. Long before the doors opened, they were planning to make our first year at Hoggard a successful and mean- ingful one. They set up schedules, registered new students, coordinated many opening school activities, and began the endless job of keeping Hoggard in top-notch order.
