In spite of the weather, the fans were eagerly waiting to hear who their new Homecoming Queen would be. Would it be Melissa Blalock? Joyce Akins? Pearl Martin? Cathi Crawford? Or Corliss Kitchens? They were all beauties, but when the judges finally made the announcement, the crowd thoroughly agreed that Pearl Martin was indeed the best choice for Queen.
