The administration of Reagan has a big job in the education of the 2,231 students of the school. This learning process would not be possible without those who make lesson plans, answer questions that help the student to under- stand, score papers to evaluate student progress, plan experiments and field trips and lead the interesting discussions that make school worthwhile. Each of the 113 teachers at Reagan is responsible for the students under his guidance. Understanding and knowledge make a firm foundation for all, and teachers receive satisfaction from knowing they are a larger part of the future. Administration Administration - 199

Principal Hill Takes Pride in Youth Of Reagan PRINCIPAL ... It takes more than a few degrees and some years teaching experience to make a princi- pal. While coping with hundreds of problems, J. Davis Hill, principal at Reagan, is a friend to teachers and students alike, and his interest in the welfare of the school endures from the first bell to the last. Mr. Hill received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees from West Texas State. He also studied architecture at the University of Texas. He has taught Industrial Arts and also has coached several sports such as football, basketball and track. White Deer, Amarillo, Marshall, and Galveston are schools where he first taught before coming to Austin, where he was princi- pal at Porter Junior High for eight years. Such school experience is invaluable in helping a principal with the difficult decisions that have to be made. Mr. Hill is very proud of Reagan, and his pride in the faculty and students of the school has made the motto Not Without Honor come alive. Eifih PRINCIPAL J.
