The purpose of the Gymnastic Club and the com- petition Gymnastic Team is to offer Reagan boys the opportunity to begin this athletic activity with proper supervision while still in high school. The club has participated in dual and invitational meets during its November to April season. Sev- eral members of the team competed in the Texas High School Gymnastic meet in April. The team has also performed at half time at four basketball games, and hosted the University of Texas Gym- nastic team in a benefit show at Reagan during February. Bobby Sargent, team captain and a junior at Rea- gan, holds the Texas High School Gymnastic Gold Medal in trampoline, as well as the bronze medal in all-round gymnastics, and also the Southwestern AAU Gold Medal in Gymnastics for the Gulf Coast States.
