ANOTHER YEAR OPENS with a wel- come to the new and old. Students lose their sense of direction, find friends and again begin a year of toil. Students Renew Acquaintances at Ice Cream Social AT THE ANNUAL ice cream social, the mothers of Band members sell ice cream to raise money for special projects. BECKY BOREN EXPRESSES her feel- ings at the start of another school year. RR'S KAREN BISHOP. Linda Sutton, Cheryl Potter and Charlotte Porter pro- mote spirit from the beginning of the year by selling pendants, stickers, pens and other items at the ice cream social.

LIBRARY ORIENTATION WAS given to all fresh- men by the head librarian, Mrs. Jessie Bennett. HOWDY WEEK BEGINS with signs, name tags and cordial spirits. The week ends with the annual Howdy Dance. Year Begins with Howdy Week, Pep Rallies, School Trips 26 AT THE LOCKHART pep rally, the RR’s give a premiere of 'The Taming of the Lions.
