Coach Carroll Lundin coached for the Raiders again this season, and had around 30 players on the team this season. The team had 9 returning Iettermcn this year. Returning let- termen for the 1967 season were Bill Greif, Rusty Cambell, Ken Robinson, Bervin Mirtsching, Jerry Ball, Johnny Klcincrt, Lee Walker, Rene Martin and Dale Rcbold. Serving as manager this year was John Abbott. The first game for the team was a bout with the Anderson Yellowjackets on March 5. The team com- peted in the Austin Invitational Tournament again this year, which was a decisive point for the Raiders. At the beginning of the season the Raider baseball team was picked to win the District Title. 155
