EMA THOSE MAGNIFICENT MEN THE REAGAN RAIDERS I Jmz: THE STATE The Reagan football team rates No. 1 in many ways this year. The Raiders became South Zone Champs, District Champs, State Champs, and last of all, National Champs. From San Antonio Churchill to Abilene Cooper, Reagan’s team effort has been overwhelming. Without the tremendous work of the team, the fantastic coaching job, and roof-raising spirit of the student body, a No. 1 rating in ttie state and nation could not have been accomplished. Many honors were given the Reagan Raiders, but the best of all was STATE CHAMPIONSHIP, 1967! CHURCHILL ... The first victory of the season came with the first game against the San Antonio Churchill Chargers. An outstanding victory of 60-7 was a welcomed sight to the spectators. The passing ability of quarterback Bill Greif. the running abilities of Johnny Kleinert and Donald Ealey, and the kicking excellence of Jesse Thomp- son revealed to the Chargers that Reagan was out to win the District race. 124
