Journalism Class Involved in Publication of Radar RICH LOOKS on as Bill Bray finds receipts for The journalism class, held second period, is taught by Mrs. Glynn Bates. Through the journalism class the students work on the school paper, The Radar. Classtime and after school provide opportunities to paste up ads, lay out copy, and proofread stories. There are also publications representatives elected from each advisory to help with some of the work from the Publications Department. From time to time things come up, such as the collection of money for school pictures. The representatives do this and help out a great deal. The Publications Department also sponsors an annual Beaut)’ Review, which was held on November 21. EDITOR OF THE RADAR, Janet Schutz, especially enjoys working on the paper when the journalism class has quit on her. 117
