The work needed to produce a Spur is a never ending circle of taking pictures, writing copy, crop- ping pictures and meeting dreaded deadlines. The yearbook staff this year learned that the production of the '68 Spur was in no wise different! The ‘68 Spur began with the supervision of Mrs. Glynn Bates. As deadlines became increasingly hard- er to meet, she came to realize why last year's Pub- lication's sponsor, Mrs. Kay Stark, resigned. A staff of approximately fifteen members set goals of adding more pages and more color pictures to the Spur. Also, several members of the staff attended a yearbook workshop held at Trinity University in San Antonio from June 11-16. Further work began in the summer when staffers began selling ads to help finance the book. A dark room was added to publications this year. The darkroom, a small room in the Science Depart- ment, saved a large amount of money in the develop- ment of pictures. ALAN REEVES, CO-EDITOR, checks for mistakes in the index. KAREN HEURING AND PATRICIA CHEATHAM, who work on activities; Kipi Martin, who writes copy; Mickey Ncugebaucr, who arranges the index; and Joann Hemphill, who writes copy for the Radar, look over the mess which goes into the Spur.
