Reagan’s R.O.T.C. Featured in Color Brochure The Reagan High School Air Force Junior R.O.T.C. is now in its second year with a full program for the Cadet Corps and 87 Cadets enrolled at the begin- ning of the year. The academic phase concentrates primarily on so- cial science, pertaining to courses such as meteorol- ogy, navigation, civilian air craft industry, and aero- space science, the study of missiles, spacecraft, and military aircraft. Courses offered are listed under the titles of Mili- tary Aerospace, Air Navigation, Theory of Aircraft Flight, Space and Universe, Spacecraft and Launch Vehicles, Weather, The Coming of the Aerospace Age, and Propulsion Systems for Aircraft. Upon completion of the three year program in the Corps, a student is able to bypass the first year of AF R.O.T.C. in college, yet receive four college credits because of his high school experience. A student who is not planning to go to college may, upon completion of the three-year course in high school, bypass the Air Force basic training when he enlists in the service.
