VIDETTE Informs Students And Teachers Every two weeks the students of McCaskey un- consciously pick up their issues of the VIDETTE, never realizing that two hectic weeks of report- ing, photographing, sketching layouts, and copy- reading are spent in preparing the publication. The VIDETTE staff, advised by Iohn M. Silk- netter, publishes 16 bi-weekly issues each year. The stait begins working during the summer to Features Staff-Front Row: Kathryn Knight, Barbara Thomasco, columnist, Jeanne Herman, Linda Ulmer, L ' I, prepare a free paper for each student on the first day of school. In addition to writing, some mem- bers report news and sports results on the Scho- lastic Hi-Jinx radio program, some also edit the school football programs. This year the VIDETTE received its four- teenth consecutive Keystone Award presented by the Pennsylvania School Press Association.
