Seriously the Gunners Mates and Fire Control Technicians, although they be few, have the responsibility for maintaining and aiming the 2-5 HX54 and 1-3,170 mounts, plus the associated fire control equipment. Since one of the most important tasks of the ship is anti-air warfare, 2nd Division provides the key personnel to accomplish this mission. But manning guns is not all there it to it.
