KEVIN I chose to play football because I have been playing since elementary, and I frit that I could excel. VANGUARD: Gin you rate your success over the past J years'1 KEVIN: I believe that I was a consistent and dedicated player. Al.l. of my time was devoted to football. VANGUARD: Do you plan to play college and or professional football :n the future. KEVIN; Yes. I p an to go as far as possible — if everything goes according to plan. VANGUARD Do you give your ail in every game? KEVIN: In every game. I try to produce 110 and if I do nor. I try to encourage or lierv to do so. VANGUARD: Were there any popularity hounds. KEVIN: In some cases, there were. For the mos: part, there was competition within the team. VANGUARD What is your greatest memory ot playing JMH football KEVIN. In tlie New Philadelphia game of 1985.1 had 8 tackles. 4 assists. 1 interception, and 1 blocked field goal. Kevin Jones VANGUARD If you weren’t playing football, wliai other sport would you play? KADEE: I always wanted to play basketball, but 1 co no: think I would be much good at it because 1 am not tall. RADEE: I believe that most of the team was committed, but some of the guys were there just to say that they played. VANGUARD: How would you sum up this year's team RADEE: I think that this year's lacked a lot of discipline. VANGUARD. How would you rate youi individual progress RADEE: I've improved a great deal, but I have still have a lot to learn. VANGUARD Is there professional football ;n your futurer RADEE. KEN: Good, but there were times when we got dowr. and then go: on each other s backs. VANGUARD: Was the effort of each player consistent' KEN: I beliese that everyone die their best at all times. VANGUARD. Did you eset pet frustrated and contemplate giving at any time during the season? KEN: No. 1 tried my best at all times and I believe that everyone else did. VANGUARD What is your greatest memory of plaving JM1I football? KEN My greatest memory is when we beat New Philadelphia VANGUARD Are you the best player that you car. possibly be' TERRY: Yes. I always try to do the best that I can and I try to give 100 at all times. VANGUARD. Was you: won-loss record an accurate account of .1 team's ability? TERRY: No. the tecord of wins or losses does r.ot reflect the team's ability. It merely shows the determination of each player and each player s desire to win. VANGUARD You are a Senior and a Senate All-Star What more could you ask for? TERRY: I car. ask for a scholarship to college, but I know that it's not going to be handed to me on a silver platter I have to earn that VANGUARD What does the future hold for Terry Brown as far as football is concerned? TERRY: I don't take football seriously because I am r.ot going pro. but I do the best that I can at all times. If I get the chance to play in college by getting a scholarship, I will play. If not, John Marshall will be the las: memory I have of playing organized football. VANGUARD What is your greatest memory of playing football for JMII? TERRY- My greatest memory is the second game of the season. John Matshall went down state to New Philadelphia and came back victorious. This gave rnc the inspiration to look forward to the Senate games because I thought this was going to be a great veat for the JMH football team. Terry Brown f i Sports

HOMECOMING ’85 Once again, the John Marshall Homecoming was a success. The Homecoming took place on October 4. at 8:00 P.M. This annual event was held at Swingo's at the Statlcr, and all of the 450 present were in high spirits. Homecoming '85 was sponsored by the Senior Class officers and Student Council. This year's Homecoming King and Queen were Richard Harvey and Felicia Pierce. This year's eleventh grade Prince and Princess were Gregory Davis and Helen Ruiz. And last, but not least, this year's tenth grade court members were Vincent Weems and Mayralie Vargas. HOMECOMING King and Queen Richard Harvey and I elioa Pierce.
