f) CHEMISTR Y AND BIOLOG Y Chemistry is a sound and modern treatment of chemical principles it is (aught within a framework of certain unifying concepts. Among these are the chemical bond, the structure of matter and the matter-energy relationships, the periodicity of the chemical elements, the mole concept, equilibrium and chemical notation. Descriptive chemistry is treated either as an out grow th of these concepts or as the point of entry. BUSINESS A new era has dawned upon John Marshall over the past two years with the installation of a computer terminal. The terminal transits information from John Marshall to the computer at the Board of Education. Students enrolled in the accounting-computing class are trained in key-punching, bookkeeping machines, adding machines, sorting, typing and the operation of the terminal. They are also trained as accounting clerks. With the advent of the computer, many new types of jobs have been created and John Marshall is keeping up with the times by training our students to develop skills in these data processing areas.
