Vocal Music a The John Marshall Music Department is graced by 4 vocal groups. The Choir, a select group of 70 voices, performed at the Christmas and Spring Concerts. This year they were featured in a Christmas Special on Channel 43. The Marsh-Mellos are chosen from the Choir for their musicianship, voice quality, blend, and stage presence. They are in much demand for programs outside the school. In addition to their appearances on the JMH stage, this 24-voice ensemble closed the 74 season with an appearance on Channel 25. The Girl’s Glee Club was busy sewing as well as singing when for the first time, the group made coordinated outfits to wear at their concerts. These red and white checked dresses were seen at the fall and spring concerts as well as the ensemble contest. The newest addition to the vocal department, the Jurymen, is an all-men’s chorus. Sporting the Marshall colors with their red bow tics, arm bands and white shirts, they were heard at Open House and the Christmas concert. They also performed some rousing barbershop harmony at the Spring Concert.
