DO YOU REMEMBER February The seventy-fifth diamond jubilee class gets their first tastes of senior life. The famed H-.»Oa initiates the seniors to J. H. Ruth and his notorious chcm. lab. “Whit” perplexes and confuses senior mathematicians with “the K factor” and the Horner Theory. March The senior girls shed their bobby soxs and loafers in exchange for heels and taffeta for the bi-annual senior informal, “The Leprechaun Leap” on March 17th. The seniors elect fellow classmates to wheel the helm of coming activities. April With smiles and tears six unsuspecting classmates arc tapped by the National Honor Society. Open House offers parents and friends of J. M. H. a chance to view Marshall life. “Stardust Swirl.” biggest social event of the semester, beckons eagerly awaiting seniors. The auditorium rocks with applause as the annual spring play, “Our Hearts Were Young and Gay,” a three-act comedy, stars four seniors. Marshall's champion baseball team begins its victorious season by defeating its first opponent. Rook weary seniors relax and enjoy spring vacation. qgp May Seniors participate in the annual Spring Concert presented by the Band. Orchestra, and Choir of J. M. II. Junior Seniors say farewell to aliimni-to-he, at the Dinner Dance. Vi e all will remember our red-headed president’s farewell speech. Election of student council officers takes place. June Seniors arc feted on Honor Day. “Goodby Seniors” echoes through the cafeteria as we say farewell to the departing seniors. Graduation exercises ends spring term and begins the long awaited summer vacation. Page 31

DO YOU REMEMBER September “Now We’re Seniors.” 'I'lie first annual footliall dance starts the senior activities for the coining semester. Senior officers amid much confusion begin to pilot the 12A class through the ensuing term. October The choir presents the annual song fest for Marshall students and dedicates “You'll Never Walk Alone” to our class. Senior committees are formed and the chairmen elected. Seniors celebrate Halloween with parties and (lances. November “Show of Shows entertains Marshall students and parents. Marshall ends football season with the crowning of the football queen. “Kail Frolic,' the jaunt to the East Side, and the spaghetti dinner all adds up to a memorable day for the seniors. Two seniors are tapped at National Honor Society Assembly, where Louis Seltzer spoke on “Facing the Future with Courage. The big snow storm of 'SO snowbounds seniors during Thanksgiving vacation. December Punch happy seniors undergo the Ohio Physchological Test as a Marshallite sets a new record. Seniors sway under soft lights at the prom “Winter Wonderland.” The hoopsters and grapplcrs begin their respective seasons. The Sock Dance and the Student Council Dance climax 1950. Seniors look forward to the festivities of Christmas. January The emhro-alumni say farewell to high school days at the bi-annual Dinner Dance. Carefree seniors participate in the Senior Play. Seniors and Faculty bid adieu at the Senior-Faculty Tea. {Highlights of the year—Commencement— Seniors march to the familiar strains of Pomp and Circumstance and begin a new phase of life.) Page 32
