DO YOU REMEMBER February The seventy-fifth diamond jubilee class gets their first tastes of senior life. The famed H-.»Oa initiates the seniors to J. H. Ruth and his notorious chcm. lab. “Whit” perplexes and confuses senior mathematicians with “the K factor” and the Horner Theory. March The senior girls shed their bobby soxs and loafers in exchange for heels and taffeta for the bi-annual senior informal, “The Leprechaun Leap” on March 17th. The seniors elect fellow classmates to wheel the helm of coming activities. April With smiles and tears six unsuspecting classmates arc tapped by the National Honor Society. Open House offers parents and friends of J. M. H. a chance to view Marshall life. “Stardust Swirl.” biggest social event of the semester, beckons eagerly awaiting seniors. The auditorium rocks with applause as the annual spring play, “Our Hearts Were Young and Gay,” a three-act comedy, stars four seniors. Marshall's champion baseball team begins its victorious season by defeating its first opponent. Rook weary seniors relax and enjoy spring vacation. qgp May Seniors participate in the annual Spring Concert presented by the Band. Orchestra, and Choir of J. M. II. Junior Seniors say farewell to aliimni-to-he, at the Dinner Dance. Vi e all will remember our red-headed president’s farewell speech. Election of student council officers takes place. June Seniors arc feted on Honor Day. “Goodby Seniors” echoes through the cafeteria as we say farewell to the departing seniors. Graduation exercises ends spring term and begins the long awaited summer vacation. Page 31
