R Counselors . 3 Guide, Befriend, Defend Laufamien Cooperation through comprehension . . . Liv- ing in a society as complex and demanding as that of today, tomorrow's adults find a guiding hand necessary. No one is better suited for this task than the counselors at John Marshall. They not only strive to please each student in regard to academic courses, but in other capacities as well. They also ad- minister tests, orient new students to JM, and work closely with the teachers in their class- rooms. Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Lawter also serve as Student Council sponsors. Through com- prehension of their own needs and problems, students maintain greater cooperation for advancement as students with a purpose. Herschel Sherrill George Chapman lna May Lawter TWENTY FWE
