TO THE CLASS OF 1964 Dear Seniors: My association with John Marshall High School began only a few days before the Class of '64 made its initial entrance into the halls of the school. The graduation of this class closes an era that has been a significant and meaningful part of my life. It is im- possible to avoid a feeling of close personal involve- ment in the struggles of this group and a tendency toward biased expressions of pride in its achievements. However, anyone glancing through the pages of this documented chronicle can readily perceive that this class does have the mark of greatness upon it. Its records may well survive as high water marks in the history of the school. Truly, this has been the year of the John Marshall Bear! Congratulations, Seniors. Our best wishes go with you. Robert B. Cheney

, Mr. Edward Berry WM -M x. he .Mi Q' Mr. William Shell Edward L. Berry has been assistant principal at John Marshall for tour years. His past record as a counselor has shown his ability to work capably with young people. He possesses a fine singing voice, and can frequently be heard tun- ing up with the other members of the faculty quartet. Mr. Berry is a dedicated worker in church, civic and school activities. His time is divided between interests of teen- age students and those of the very young as he has two small children, Kevin and Melodie. Assistant Principals Mr. William Shell, whose face is now familiar at John Marshall, came to this school from Jarman Junior High School in Midwest City, where he taught Social Studies. His ability to work with young people immediately gained the respect of the large student body. He has been granted the degrees of Bachelor of Arts by Florida Southern University and a Master's Degree in School Administration by the University of Oklahoma. The students of John Marshall are proud to have Mr. Shell. The gracious, unbiased but firm handling of student problems have earned for him the respect and admiration of the entire student body.
