With Books Past, Present, And Future Are Timeless! Books serve man in many Ways. They inform him of past events, they instruct him in matters which are of great concern, the events of the future. Books they predict remind him of his obligations and provide amusement for his lighter hours. All li- brary books are not fiction, all are not his- tory. Shirtsleeves and work clothes are in order when T. Burns Westman and his orchestra are working to perfect their beautiful numbers. Not all work is done in science lab- oratories nor is the classroom or football field the only other scenes of toil. Under the capable guidance of one of the nation's finest musicians, T. Burns Westman, the orchestra takes its place among the best in the state. Here again is evidence that all parts of the school are equally impor- tant. Each depends upon the other. Each helps the other. There is dignity in work in all depart- ments. When Art or Drama department, FFA, Homemakers or Choir need stage decorations, scenery or painting, the stage crew assembles cheer- fully to do its part to make the school shine! Beautiful scenery and soft lights don't just happen. Many hours are spent in briefing, working and listening as Andy McCollum tells his stage crew just how it is done.
