You will know misfortune, grief, and despair, but you will know also, I hope, your full measure of ioy and happiness. Love and loss, pleasure and misery will touch all of your lives to some extent. That these things will come is not so important, as your reaction to them. i The measure ot a man is how he accepts the hand that life deals him, and what he makes of it. I hope that while students at John Marshall, you learn that defeat can serve as well as victory to enrich us if it is rightly used.
