Oh, the woes that beset u Money! Will somebody ask me to the prom? How can I afford the prom? How do I know what I want to do after I graduate? When do we order our announcements? Are the senior keys here yet? If I'm elected president . . Ford or Carter, how can I choose? Looks like that bear's gonna pull us over. If my SAT scores are good and I get that scholarship, then I can go to IUPUI. That big night out costs more than one might think, but winning the Top Hat limo to the prom helps. Ron Morgan, Sandy Shaw, Brian Holmes, Cindy Wood, Brian Hawkins, Lisa Daye, Beth Dine and Dan Devine pose in front of the Convention center for Mike Slabaugh. One of the senior career choices could be the service. Tom Begines chose West Point for his college. A Navy flier demonstrates his flight suit for the aerospace class. E Will the person who ran into the white Chevrolet . . My car, my car! Why me? What do you mean I don't have enough credits to graduate? What are you doing tomorrow night? Friday? Saturday? Sunday? That was SOME party last night! But I have to have shortened hours, I've got to be at work at I :OO! Should I get my hair cut into a wedge?

The Guidance Department provides five counse- lors for the school's 2300 students. This is what is sometimes heard in the Guidance Office. I'm sorry but l cannot change your schedule. Do you have any idea about what you want to do when you get out of high school? How many credits are you car- rying right now? Are you going to college? Mr, Vardaman, l'm a senior and I only have 30 credits. What am I gonna do? Students should realize how important the Guidance Depart- ment really is. Getting schedules made out is only one of many tasks that involve the counselors and stu- dents. Keeping files and talking with each student individually also involves time for the guidance counselors and the student. The counselors spend time and make an effort to listen to each individual. Scheduling involves much paper work. Follow up coun- seling is done for students with poor grades and for those with per sonal problems.
